This current on-going work is based on items of survival of female explorers and pioneers, such as Nellie Bly, Emma Gatewood,
Juana Maria, Peace Pilgrim, etc. Each photograph is a stack of the items that were taken with each woman on their journey.
Most if not all of the women traveled alone. I am interested in the explorations these women throughout history have taken and
the small amount of items needed for such a journey.
